Just
like their old world ancestors, the early New Breeds congregated
around the great forest's watering hole. As civilization
developed, the waterfront property became highly desired
and wars were waged for its control. When the dust settled,
a Unified Reptilian organization gained control of the river,
its banks, and the most prized property, the Manhattan-like
island named BOGG CITY.
However,
the unified organization ruled for only a short period.
Soon, smaller organizations, families and syndicates began
to take control of the forest's commodities, and their new
found capitalism and greed brought the downfall of the Unified
Reptiles. The new mobsters and capitalists battled between
themselves for more power. As their greed grew, so did their
newly discovered vanity. In attempts to continually outdo
their rivals, they chaotically constructed a great city
resembling a combination of New York circa 1930, New Orleans
circa 1980, and Las Vegas circa 1990.
Today,
the most diverse cross-section of New Breeds calls Bogg
City home. Drawn by the dream of acquiring fame and fortune,
they come from all walks of life to prove their worth. Success
and power can be gained through many avenues. Landlords,
businessmen (who provide everything from food and clothes
to sex, drugs and weapons), casino owners, promoters and
prizefighters make up the elite of Bogg City. And when they
hit it big, they let everybody know it. Vehicles, fine clothes,
jewelry, opulent homes and human slaves are the status symbols
of the wealthy here.
