In the year 3381, under the leadership of Genesis XI, the humans established their new civilization high atop the gigantic trees of the great rainforest. Secluded inside of the walls of the treetops, the humans carved out Ôcities within skyscrapers' and then connected these cities with trams and walkways under the guise of branches, vines and other canopy flora. Genesis hoped that within the walls of their new fortress the humans would be able to establish the utopian society previously unattainable in human existence.

Today, over 200 years after it was established, Etheria thrives. Behind its once impenetrable walls lives a dynamic society built on a foundation of freedom and advanced technology. Etheria, under the principle of ACTIVE EVOLUTION encourages each individual to adapt his/her innate abilities into practical skills. This principle has led to great advancement in almost every aspect of life, thus allowing the citizens to enjoy many of life's pleasures.

The presence of a human kingdom in the rainforest has not gone unnoticed. New Breeds have developed varying opinions of such a power emerging in their world. Some New Breeds see Etheria as a symbol of freedom while others view it as a threat to their survival. The powerless look up to the treetops with hope of escaping the oppression of the powerful, while the powerful look up with fear. They fear that these humans are no different than their ancestors and that they will leave a similar path of death and destruction behind them as they try to regain rule of the world and all of its inhabitants.

Etheria now faces its greatest challenge. New enemies and a growing human slave trade on the floor have led to constant attacks by various New Breed factions. This self-sufficient kingdom can no longer survive without entering rainforest politics. Genesis XVIII must find their place in this dynamic ecosystem, and it must be one in which humans can survive in harmony with nature, keeping in mind their ancestor's mistakes. It is her belief that for the humans to survive they must be seen as equals throughout the forest. This belief has led to her introduction of the controversial INTEGRATION PROCESS, where oppressed New Breeds are welcome to share the safety of Etheria. She hopes this process will help gain the trust of New Breeds and free the human slaves in the process.
