As a young child, Widow planned to follow her mother into the Science and Medicine divisions of Etheria. She grew up a tomboy, with her father and brothers as members of the Etherian Guard, but held back on her personal dreams of protecting Etheria with them in order to help advance her mother's work. She hoped to live out her dreams vicariously through them and her husband, a high-ranking Etherian guard.

Widow's plans and name changed following the events of one evening. In one of the most deadly invasions of Etheria, tragedy struck. This young lady's father, brothers and husband were all slain in the attack on Etheria infamously known as ÒThe Night of the Wild ArachnidsÓ. The events of this one night turned her world upside down. She withdrew from society and immediately enrolled in the Guard Academy. Her physical abilities coupled with her advanced knowledge of medicine and toxins brought her to the attention of the Shadowhunters. She was a perfect fit, both in attitude and ability, and her work with the A.R.M.S.S. Division in the development and advancement of toxic A.R.M.S.S. has helped to create an even more dangerous group of Shadowhunters. She was knighted as much for her distinct abilities as for her courage, and is as fierce as she is intelligent.
