3381: The New World: TOHUBOHU.
This
monthÕs entry marks the violent end of our lives in the
biostation, and the beginning of our new kingdom.
After
determining that the radioactive and nuclear fallout from
WW V had subsided, we emerged from our safe haven to inspect
the new world. Only days after entering this new world,
we were forced to seek refuge from what was once a civilized
society.
The
biostation was invaded with violent force by an enormous
mutant ant army. As my ancestors prophesied, we are no longer
the hunters on this planet, but the hunted. Those few of
us lucky enough to survive the invasion sought safety among
the treetops of a great rain forest. As my foremother Genesis
predicted, the world has entered a state of TOHUBOHUª. After
the war, Mother Nature reestablished her rule over the planet
and the result is a world unlike any we have seen before.
Continental shifts have created new mountain ranges and
left towering volcanoes to protect open wounds In the earthÕs
surface. The increased temperature and nuclear fallout have
caused vegetation to mutate and flourish, and the genetic
weaponry has enabled animal life to evolve at an unthinkable
rate in order to survive.
From
what I have seen, these ÒNEW BREEDSÓ are perfectly adapted
to their surroundings. The great loss of human life at the
hands of the new breed ant army shows me that in order to
survive in this World Gone Wild we must be able to defend
ourselves. Considering that ants of the old world occupied
such a low rung of the food chain, we must assume that there
are other forces far more dangerous than the ants.
All our resources must be focused on creating a military
force that can even out the odds between us and our more
physically adapted enemies. Keeping in mind the mistakes
of our ancestors, we seek not the rule of the planet, but
simply the survival of the human race.
